Proposed as an experiment in emotional interfaces, this germophobic bathroom doorknob runs away from the user's germ-ridden hand.
As the user approaches the doorknob, the metal knob shakes. If the user attempts to touch it with a cloth between her hand and the doorknob, the doorknob will allow the door to be opened. However, if the user tries to open it with her bare hands, the doorknob "runs away" to the top of the door, out of reach. In order to "coax" it back down again, someone must pull over a chair, climb up, and wash the doorknob.
