The Distributed Surveillance Company is a mobile application and website that acts as a commentary, exploring the increasing use of crowdsourcing techniques for security purpose.
As the 'Distributed Surveillance Company', we aim to make the world a safer place by crowdsourcing the massive amount of data we must sift through to prevent terrorism. By installing our custom software on your mobile device, your cell phone will be doing its part to fight the global war on terror. Upon starting the software, your phone will continuously take photographs of whatever is around you and upload them to a website for review. Other participants can collectively monitor the incoming content and report any suspicious activity. Always remember, if you report someone else, we know you aren't doing anything wrong! Together we can stay safe.
